G20 YEA Submission

As part of my submission for the G20 YEA, my two recommendations for governments were to 1) Create a thriving young entrepreneurs model whereby various aspects of one’s personal well-being and business development journey is quantified in terms of the monetary amount or resources required to support one’s overall entrepreneurial success. For example, providing a value around young people’s cost for shelter, food, clothing, but also team development, marketing, strategy at early development stages. This can open doors for policies that create more funding for young businesses, but also services and resources in underserved communities that can satisfy to needs of one’s journey.

2) My second recommendations is around tax break incentives to the large corporations advance global and national economies. I believe it is important to bring along the expertise and human resources that these large organizations occupy and provide diverse ways that governments can work with them to support young entrepereneurs. This could look like adding a youth to your Board of Directors and contribute to business strategy, or creating mentorship and business development incubators or supports to learn from the company’s processes, or simply having these organizations issue grants and funding resources. Depending on the length of support services and financial investment from their company can determine the tax break incentive.
